Building stronger connections between research and international health programming

On behalf of the Research for Development Impact (RDI) Network, Burnet Institute is pleased to host a symposium on Building stronger connections between research and international health programming on Monday 22 August from 12:45–5:00pm in Melbourne.
The symposium will feature focused panel discussions with speakers from a range of organisations including Burnet Institute, International Women’s Development Agency, Marie Stopes International, Nossal Institute for Global Health, Save the Children Australia, The Fred Hollows Foundation and WaterAid Australia. It will aim to investigate key questions including: how might international health programs and practice inform and stimulate research; and how can health research contribute to better international health programming?

Camilla Burkot
Camilla Burkot was a Research Officer at the Development Policy Centre, and Editor of the Devpolicy Blog, from 2015 to 2017. She has a background in social anthropology and holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University, and has field experience in Eastern and Southern Africa, and PNG. She now works for the Burnet Institute.
