New look and new email options for Devpolicy Blog

You might have noticed we are looking a little bit different today at Devpolicy. We decided that it was time to freshen up the blog, nearly four years after our last redesign.

This is the third look for the blog since it started in September 2010. (If you can’t remember our first design, the Wayback Machine can help!)

The main change in the new design is that we have divided the front page into two columns: one with posts on Aid and Development and one with posts on PNG and the Pacific. This change was informed by feedback we received from readers verbally and via the reader poll we carried out earlier this year, to better help people find the content they are interested in.

In line with this change, we are pleased to offer two new blog email options, on top of our current daily blog emails and newsletters. We now have a distribution list for Aid and Development blogs only, and a list for PNG and Pacific blogs only. If you are an existing subscriber to the daily blog emails and want to change to one of these lists instead, just click on your personalised ‘change your subscription’ link in your daily email. Otherwise, you can use the sign-up form on the blog sidebar to join.

We also no longer have ‘in brief’ posts in a separate section. Rather, we will simply accept blog post submissions of a wider range of lengths (350-1000 words).

If you have any feedback or questions on the new blog design or email lists, do get in touch with us at devpolicy@anu.edu.au.
